Graduate of Morgan State University, pursuing a Masters in School Counseling at Bowie State University and by day the In School Youth College and Career Coordinator for Harford County employed by Susquehanna Workforce Network. Mijiza has worked with children and adults for over 15 years. Mijiza has created and customized youth programs for organizations and community centers in the DMV areas.
Mijiza is a Bestselling Author, Inspirational Speaker, Mentor, Coach and Consultant. She strives each day to impact the lives of youth and young adults to ensure they do not experience similar traumas she once did while growing up in Brooklyn, New York. While completing her first children’s book, “Pretty to be Dark-skinned”, she paved the way in breaking barriers of stigma, colorism and bullying while creating space for self-love within in today’s youth. Three children, and two grandchildren, Mijiza understands her purpose is to tell her story to fulfill her destiny – by creating change in this world and empowering all through her written words and her voice.
Mijiza has shared the stage with Dynamic speakers such as Dr. Cheryl Wood, Shawn Fair, Che Brown, and Les Brown. Speaking on topics such as Mental Health, Going from Distracted to Directed, Identity, Leadership, Life Purpose & Vision, Adolescent Behavior, and Managing Areas of your life that keep you from being the best version of yourself. She is bold in speaking on topics that demand you to shift the paradigm of your life, take control, and adjust your crown no matter who you are and what position you are in, she reminds all that you have a purpose that needs to be fulfilled and an obligation to share your story to save the lives of others.

As a business owner and educator, I love to help other woman succeed in any adventure they may be inspired to led towards.
