I am a first time children’s author who lives in Abingdon , Maryland.  I run a small Licensed Childcare business for the past 28 years.  Approximately 90 babies have been cared for and nurtured over the years. Inspiring and helping the little learners with separation anxiety. When I am not working or hosting book events, I like to relax in our RV in a gated Camp resort in Amish county.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I live and work with my husband.  We have 6 grandchildren.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have always loved being home and running a small child care business from my home.  It was the best thing that I ever did for my career.  I love helping and watching children grow.  It’s so rewarding to see the growth of each child.  I love being a children’s author and meeting little learners.   Getting my book into little hands is the best.  I now have my book in a Spanish version.  It’s a book about helping children and their families with separation anxiety.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My favorite restaurants are Japanese restaurants, as I am a little bit of a foodie.  I have been cooking since I was 9 years old.  I also love the broiled crab cakes at Box Hill Pizzeria.

Dolly Parton.  We would order Box Hill Crab Cakes and eat at a beauty salon.

I love that I have about 1,800 houses around me and if I go a mile up the road you go into the most county setting.

Having more books published all about helping little learners grow.   I would love to speak to other child care owners about my experience of owning my own business.
