Hal is a 20 year veteran in the title industry and is the manager of Community Title Network. He has “sat in every seat” and performed in every position within the company. Hal oversees daily operations including title review and resolution, CD/HUD preparation, settlements, and disbursements. Having conducted and supervised thousands of successful settlements over his career, Hal focuses his team on providing timely, accurate, and complete information to all parties to ensure a smooth settlement.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Married to a wonderfully patient woman with 2 boys who are 12 and 9. We also have 2 rescue dogs, Camden who is a lab mix and Moose who is a shepherd mix.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
The favorite part of my job is being at the settlement table and helping someone finalize the purchase of their new home.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Box Hill Pizzeria and Crab Cakes, and I like the food at MaGerk’s Pub.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have been handling transactions in Harford County for almost 20 years and owned a home there for 15 years.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Too many interesting people to list only one,
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Shawshank Redemption is one of my favorite movies and as far as shows, I am a big fan of cartoons.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
It is just as easy, if not easier, to be kind than to not be kind.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Jack Nicklaus, my father would have to be there as well, and at Bulle Rock. Maybe if I buy lunch he can give me some pointers.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Bulle Rock, such a great golf course and also amazing restaurant. Most golf courses don’t have the same level of amenities.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still doing the same thing.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I said it in one of the prior questions, I would prefer to watch cartoons than just about anything else. Even if my kids aren’t with me, I will look for cartoons to watch before other shows.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls a couple of Disney Cartoons.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My wife.

Family, warmth, and happiness.
