I’m Stacia Kline, a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in sales and marketing.  Throughout my career, the most rewarding aspect has been the enduring relationships I’ve cultivated.  Personally, I’m fortunate to be married to my wonderful husband, Steve, a union that introduced me to Harford County, a place I’ve wholeheartedly embraced.  Being an integral part of this vibrant community, both in my personal and professional life, fills me with pride.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Born and raised in Baltimore County, I am one of five siblings and a proud alumna of the Bryn Mawr School for Girls and Towson State University.  My large, extended family includes 11 nieces and nephews, along with 5 great nieces and nephews scattered across the country.  In my husband’s family, I’ve been warmly connected for over a decade to his two adult children.  Together, my husband and I share our lives with Winston, our adorable black lab puppy, and nurture our mutual love for the outdoors and gardening.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
My work ethic is deeply influenced by my late father, a man renowned for his dedication. Commencing my career at 16 as a stock girl at Grandma’s Choice in Ruxton, Maryland, I transitioned to over seven years of part-time retail sales while juggling high school and college.  Subsequently, I embarked on a marketing sales journey with Patuxent Publishing, a remarkable tenure lasting 25 years.  A brief stint in radio sales with CBS Radio Baltimore followed before I decided to obtain an insurance license, inspired by my father’s successful agency.  After honing my skills in the insurance industry, I returned to radio, and amidst the challenges of the Covid era, I joined Skylight Creative Ideas, a thriving family-owned branding and marketing promotional products company.  The most fulfilling aspect of my career is not only the enduring relationships forged but also the joy of assisting individuals in growing their businesses through impactful messaging and strategic solutions.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
We thoroughly enjoy exploring the diverse culinary offerings in our community, particularly during our lunch breaks when my husband, who works for the town of Bel Air, and I, with an office on Main Street in downtown Bel Air, have the chance to meet. Among our favorite lunch spots are Buontempo Brothers Pizza, the Vagabond Sandwich Company, MaGerks Pub & Grill Bel Air, and Savona, all located in downtown Bel Air and surrounding areas.  When it comes to a night out, we often gravitate towards the inviting ambiance of Barrett’s On The Pike, the vibrant atmosphere at Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar, and for a cozy, close-to-home experience, Vince’s Crab House & Seafood and Acappella Italian Restaurant never disappoint.  On special occasions, we cherish the elevated dining experiences at One Eleven Main and The Local.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I relocated to Forest Hill upon getting engaged to my husband, Steve, in 2017.  In August 2020, I took a significant career leap and joined Skylight Creative Ideas, located in the town of Bel Air.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
One of my all-time favorite movies is Caddyshack, capturing the essence of humor and nostalgia. However, I must admit, I have a soft spot for all holiday movies, each bringing its own festive charm.  As for TV shows, I’m currently hooked on Yellowstone, finding its gripping storyline and compelling characters truly captivating.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice to people would be to embrace the brevity of life and savor every moment. Maintaining a positive mindset can make a significant difference, and remember, a simple smile has the power to go a long way in brightening not just your day, but the days of those around you.

Q: What community service or volunteer work do you do or have you done for our local community?
I am the president of Harford Business Network, the marketing chair and on the Board for the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge, on the Board of the Route 40 Business Association,  serve on the new membership committee for the Chesapeake Professional Women Network, and volunteer for Extreme Family Organization, Harford Family House, and the Humane Society of Harford County.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
If I could choose anyone alive today for a lunch date, it would undoubtedly be Bruno Mars.  His incredible talent, charisma, and creativity have always fascinated me.  The idea of sharing a meal with him and perhaps discussing his musical journey would be an absolute dream.  As for the locale, I imagine The Local would be the perfect spot—a place that embodies the warmth and local charm of our community, providing a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for an unforgettable lunch.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite aspect of our community has to be the enchanting scenic farmland that surrounds us, creating a picturesque backdrop.  Moreover, I adore the charming small-town feel that both Bel Air and Havre de Grace exude. It’s a unique blend of natural beauty and a close-knit community that makes living here truly special.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I aspire to retire within the next 10 years, envisioning a tranquil life either near the beach or in the serene beauty of a place like Wyoming.  My retirement dreams include dedicating time to volunteer in the local community, and the prospect of spending quality time with grandchildren fills me with delight.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Even for some friends and family, there’s something not everyone knows about me—I’m absolutely obsessed with everything Christmas.  At one point, I had an entire storage unit stacked high with my extensive collection of holiday decorations.  Life took an unexpected turn when I started dating my now-husband.  His family owned a Christmas tree farm in the picturesque Poconos in Pennsylvania, and it turns out, he shares my love for Christmas.  Our connection to the season became even more special when we decided to tie the knot at Rockfield Manor in downtown Bel Air, exchanging vows in front of a beautifully adorned Christmas tree.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
I would easily rate a perfect 10 out of 10 the experience of spending a beautiful day outside gardening with my husband and our loyal companion, our dog Winston.  Additionally, a girl’s trip dedicated to shopping with my best friend Elizabeth holds the same high rating, filled with laughter, bonding, and the joy of shared experiences.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My Husband Steve.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
