My name is Max and I am a 7 year old Goldendoodle. I am 55 lb. so I am quite the large “lap dog” and “bed hog”. There is no such thing as personal space for my humans. Humans (and squirrels) are my favorite except for delivery people. I do not like the people who drop off the random packages on my porch. My favorite activities are walks/hikes, jumping on the trampoline, going down slides at the playground, playing tug-of-war, going for car rides, and barking at other animals.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I live with my five humans. They all think that they are my favorite, but I don’t have favorites.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have two jobs and they are the best jobs in the world. My first is that I get to love and protect my family and our property. I even alert my family when any of the neighbors have guests or get deliveries. My second job is going to work at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty where I am the office mascot. I love all the agents and staff and bring a smile to everyone that enters the office, but the best part is all the treats everyone gives me.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I enjoy Starbucks for the pup cups. I haven’t been to a restaurant, but I do eat leftovers that are brought home. Chipotle tortillas and pizza crust are my favorite.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve lived here since my family adopted me in 2016 when I was 8 weeks old, and have been the mascot at BHHS Homesale Realty since 2022.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
The mailman who comes in the office. He always takes time to pet and talk to me.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I don’t watch TV – that is my nap time. I prefer to nap with all paws in the air.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Growl less and love more.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would choose Marian Staab to have lunch with at the office because she always shares her food with me.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The sidewalks, in the town of Bel Air, and all the trails are my favorite things since I like going on walks and being outside.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I ring a bell by the door in my house when I want to go outside. I am protective of my car when I go on car rides. I don’t like anyone to approach my window. When I drop the youngest human off at school, I bark at the principal when he opens the car door – I don’t want him taking her, but I don’t bark when we pick her up from school.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Having my head out the window of the car and letting the wind blow in my face, and drinking out of the toilet – the water is so cold and fresh.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
It is not a who, it’s a what. FOOD. Food inspires me to be better.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Food, Naps, Cuddles
